Tim Heather and John Lay have worked together as Estate Agents since 1986. They have always traded from the prominently positioned office at 3 Church Street in the centre of Falmouth.

Initially employed by James & Yates soon to become Bristol & West Property Services, the Falmouth branch consistently outperformed all of the group's 60 odd offices to win the annual prize for sales and productivity (with some memorable and extravagant prizes extravagantly given away to far flung parts of the country!). In 1993 Bristol & West decided to sell their estate agency and Tim and John took over the Falmouth business and building and together with Chris Yates, became partners, owning Yates six estate agency branches in mid and west Cornwall.

In 1995 the Yates partnership was divided and Heather & Lay Estate Agents was born. Tim and John have remained strong friends ever since and although they are very different characters; they have forged an effective and successful partnership and business.

A blend of six individuals providing experience, expertise, enthusiasm and a determination to sell and succeed!

The sales team is lead by director John Lay and ably managed by Natalie Oliver. Valuation and marketing visits are carried out by John Lay and Roland Woods with about 45 collective year's local selling experience between them. They've sold over 5,000 local properties and have about 25,000 valuations under their belts! Valued negotiator Jill Thompson supports the team and Elizabeth Hopkins is our gem of a secretary. Director Tim Heather (F N A E A) runs our New Homes and Development department.

Paul Beevers LLB (Hons) - Managing Director

Paul is a practising Landlord & Tenant solicitor who qualified in August 1996. During that time, he has acted for a wide range of Letting Agencies and Housing Associations and formerly worked for Cornwalls largest firm Stephens and Scown. He has a wealth of specialist property letting expertise. This enables us to offer a unique door to door letting service to our Landlord clients and provide them with unrivalled peace of mind.

Garrin Webb BA (Hons) MBA - Director

Garrin hails from Truro and is a very personable and experienced operator with an extensive grounding in property and management (culminating in the award of an MBA). Garrin is well respected by Landlords and Tenants alike for his professionalism and expertise. He has worked within our business (both in sales and letting) since 2004 and was deservedly appointed a Director on 1 January 2011.

Richard Margetts - Office Manager

Richard has over ten years experience in property management here in Cornwall and has been an integral part of our success story since he joined us in 2005. He is responsible for ensuring that our office runs smoothly with a firm focus on customer service.
